In Osteuropa wird der postsowjetische, Vierteljahrhundert alte Ost-West-Konflikt mit Waffengewalt ausgetragen.  Scholarly and non-academic authors are brought together in a bilingual survey that lives up to our mission: the memory culture and historiography of the seminal catastrophe of the twentieth century.  

Die Liste setzt sich aktuell aus etwa zwanzig Empfehlungen zusammen. Über Twitter oder LinkedIn enthalten sie sowohl aktuelle Beiträge als auch solche, die einige Zeit in der Vergangenheit liegen oder wurzeln und den Blick für die gegenwärtigen Entwicklungen schärfen helfen.

Was uns immer wieder auffällt, ist, dass die Herkunft oder der Tätigkeitsbereich einer qualifizierten Mehrheit der Experten einerseits im Osten und andererseits im Westen des transatlantisch-eurasischen Raums verankert ist. Ob in deren Lebenslauf oder der elterlichen Biographie, Einseitigkeit is nicht vorhanden.

With great concern the Aufa💯 team is following the events of the quarter-century-old East-West conflict currently being played out in Eastern Europe most dramatically. To offer some orientation in the sheer flood of information, we have collected some recommended reading. To keep up on the latest addings, follow us on Twitter or LinkedIn.

Those recommendations contain both current contributions and those that are already some time in the past and ought to help sharpen the view on the current situation. They reflect the individual authors' opinion.

What strikes us time and again, is that the lion's share of these authors has roots in either east and west of the transatlantic-Eurasian space. Be it in their CV or parental biography, both spheres are being represented.
